Congrats to Barty! I hope she savors this moment because we may never see her in a Slam final again. As we all know in women's tennis no one has been consistent in the Slams except Serena! All this depth that supposedly exists in the women's game is a myth! In the men's semi's 3 players accounted for 53 Slams! The women who earn equal prize money for doing less work - Zero!

Isn't it time for women to play 5 sets?

Well done from an Australian Marketa . Such class in defeat. No tantrums, no broken rackets.
Well done Ash. Two classy players

Congratulations to Ash Barty on her first grand slam victory, first Australian to win a singles grand slam title since Samantha Stosur in 2011, first Aussie to win Roland Garros in singles since 1973 and the second grand slam womens singles winner of 2019.

Thank you so much for posting this. Here in Australia the match finished at around 4am and I fell asleep during the second set much to my disappointment. I wanted to see the trophy presentation of Ash Barty

The question remains, should transgender athletes be allowed to compete in women’s tennis or any other women’s sports?

Barty is cute she reminds me of a chubby teddy bear in a nice way, she is a beautiful soul and her demeanor speaks to it, quite humble! That aside she is a good player, though not the best, BUT in life those who win are not the BEST but the smart ones ! she is MENTALLY strong , very strategic and smart. She definitely plays smart and not hard ,and has proven that you do not have to hit the ball like madness to play tennis.! Play smart and make each point count ! she sure made the most of every game and rose stealthily to the top !!! she definitely outsmarted everyone !!! Now that is a great game mind set !! You go girl !! Congratulations !
