He's ready. It's clay and it's Roland Garros! No one is more prepared than Nadal in this tournament. Even if Federer is on a winning streak against Rafa, it doesn't mean anything in RG. Even during his "crappy" years (by his standards) he was able to win RG. As much as I want Fed to win this (how beautiful that would be? Probably his last chance to make it to the RG Final, Rafa still has a few more left for sure) Rafa is hands down the favourite. I just hope it won't be another clay court masterclass display from Rafa, and that Roger will be abe to astonish us as he so often did :)

Don't know if roger deserves to win against Rafa at this point and in this context; but, surely Rafa deserves it more than anyone in the tour. Also, moving forward to the final, I don't think roger would have a chance to beat Novak. Then again, Novak also faces a massive challenge in Theim. @fundhund62 Umm, Rafa is 91-2 @ Roland Garros. Since 2005 he's won every year but 2-3 times when he's healthy so odds are definitely on Rafa's side. If Fed wins it wouldn't be surprising since Fed has beaten him the last 5 times and capable of beating anybody but Fed is definitely the underdog here.

Djoko has won the last 3 majors, is ranked #1, and is the #1 seed in this tourney. How come he doesn't get the extra day off and Rafa does?? This same thing happened in AO this year too.
@Dee G Yes, this is the valid reason. He had tough 3-setters against Delpo and Schwartzman prior to the Rafa final. And in Masters 1000, they have to play every day. Rest & recovery means so much

its been a great ride for Roger this french open, but this will be an uncomfortable afternoon. 61,63,60 was Federers worst defeat against nadal at the French. I think Rafa will be heading for a comfortable straight sets win on friday as well unless Roger plays super close to the baseline and hits a purple patch for 2h straight
