After losing in the first rounds at Wimbledon 2019 (as I predict it), Halep will "explain" that she didn't care much about this tournament on grass, since "she's been there done that". She will claim that she's training hard for Nepal Open, which is played on a dried yak shit surface and the Palau Open, played on a field of freshly plowed dirt

Simona will be back in one month winning the Wimbledon and be just as calm as she was yesterday. Nuff said, true champ!

I think she's saying one thing to us, that's she's more relaxed, no pressure, etc, but another thing is in her mind. She looked like being under pressure... Sad to see her like that, it's like she doesn't want to move on after winning last year

Halep needs to retire. lol, that's what all the Serena haters say everytime she loses. But how come Halep can lose to a younger player (17 yrs old), an even lower ranked player, and by a worse score than Serena lost, yet the same people don't yap that Halep needs to retire?? - Not to mention the #1 player Osaka and the #2 player Pliskova, who also lost the same round as Serena. Does that mean they have to retire too, since they are higher seeds and they lost the same round as Serena? lol. What stupid muthafruggers the Serena haters are....too stupid to even be consistent when they bitch and moan.

Jim Stark For What? She’s not only one of the top, but also one of the most consistent players. How could you say that?

Halep made it to the Quarter Final and she had blitzed through the slam until now. Serena lost in the third round. People are saying Serena needs to retire because she's always injured and pulling out of tournaments. Also she's quite old. Halep is nowhere near her age.
Osaka and Pliskova aren't always injured and have both won titles this year. I don't think she should retire but that's why.

Simona Let keep it real for once, you are a top player that sometimes does not have the power to come back in a streessed match like this. You need mental coaching look at OSaka Naomie, it took her time, now she has the comme back power for good. You need that come back stenght honey . Serena , Kerber, Andrescu, and Barty have that power , why not you. Please get mental coaching to fix that issue because it will hurt your future in tennis.

😂😂😂I am speaking with a 10 years old. Look, good for you that you are playing tennis like a pro, I don't think that is possible at 10 but whatever. I am not a crazy fan of Simona but I don't like when people speak about her like they are know her. You don't have to give her advice about mental strenght, she have it, if you will see a lot of her matches you will notice that. When you are gonna play in ATP and you are gonna play on high stakes give me a shout ok?
She is not the only one that is loosing against a 17 years player, I will tell you something that you don't know because you where not born yet. In 2004 Serena lose against Sharapova in the Wimbledon final, Serena was number 1 then and Sharapova was a nobody then and guess what, Sharapova was 17 back then and is only the third youngest player that is winning a Grand Slam.

@Alexandru Caprariu not to mention these players have injuries excuses, what is Simona excuse, please do not let fanatism blinds you , tennis is fact and as a player I will tell you the true

@Alexandru Caprariu : I am only 10 years olds and I am already playing tennis like a pro. Started playing since the age of 2 , one thing I learned from 🎾 is game and mental are the two keys to be and stay great at tennis. You must be. Crazt about Simona Halep, but tell the true, she needs mental coaching because when she is playing top match, she always loose control
. Advice her to seek mental strength , if not she will be hurt in her tennis career.

Very easy, stop beeing ocasional supporter and look at the others players as well, the wta circuit is form that way, if you don't defend your points you gonna drop.Where is Muguruza now, where is Svitolina, where is Sharapova and Bouchard, stop acting like you are a " conisieur " of this sport because I think you are not. She didn't drop from top 10 since 2014, that means 5 years , that is someting with just a few players in history cand brag about.

6 min of conference (in English) into less than 2 min. Miraculously, captured a good message from Simona, but this video, as well as highlight, skepticism will inevitably be increased if players & views were respected..........

  • All You Need Is Jesus Christ

If Simona has one weakness it would be her lack of height vs. Anisimova who very noticeably used her height to advantage. I will be very surprised if Anisimova does not win the title . it is now hers to win or lose.

  • sperrotta91
    sperrotta91 Il y a 6 mois +7

"I couldn't move normally". I'm sorry but what?! As impressive as Anisimova was, Simona is well and truly back to her 'QF is enough', no-conviction-having ways. Once again, I have to question her desire...

    • sperrotta91

@Hiroki Mori Let's agree to disagree.

    • Hiroki Mori
      Hiroki Mori Il y a 6 mois

@sperrotta91 demanding too much as it looks like. No one could escape from the reality. Under pressure anyone inevitably feels nervous, like or not! As a consequence, body does not respond normally with muscles getting tenser, clear thinking's gone etc. In short, Anisimova today was that good. Let's look forward to their next encounter!

    • jeanfourcade

@Hiroki Mori I didn't understand what you're trying to say, sorry.

    • Hiroki Mori
      Hiroki Mori Il y a 6 mois

@jeanfourcade if your observation "determination ... not there" were the case (I missed a live), that might be a slight concern. Nevertheless, obviously she didn't intend to throw them away, but tried hard to turn the tables & failed. More likely is not the lack of them, but by the outcome it looked so. Judgement is yours.

    • sperrotta91
      sperrotta91 Il y a 6 mois

@Hiroki Mori Nerves aren’t necessarily ideal but they’re not inherently restrictive either. Simona is directly responsible for managing them. “I couldn’t move normally” carries the connotation that it was something out of Simona’s control, which is pure nonsense... why is this so hard to accept?!

Overrated. Women's tennis has no consistency.

That isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Seeing the same person win over and over again with little competition is boring. The WTA just needs a good rivalry.

@Hi There Outside of Serena we haven't really had that many consistent women's players for the past 15 years.

I think women's tennis is in a transition. A lot of new faces, younger girls coming up but it's going to take them a while to be consistent.
