I think the 49ers defense deserves a ton of credit. What a performance
@Reg Allen I'm putting money on that game to. I think we get that! But staying away from super bowl because not that confident there especially if it's chiefs lol
@A H i don’t see the doubt when everyone said nobody wants to play yall in the playoffs but hey beat the Rams again for the third time y’all will have the respect from the entire globe
@Reg Allen that's true and we will. Just keep doubting 9ers and i hope all the so called experts keep overlooking all the factors and I keep making my money off it. Made me lots of money vs Dallas and way more vs GB last week because gb was heavy fav. Idiots totally ignored week 3 when gb barely kicked a fg to beat 9ers when 9ers had dudes hurt. But that's all fine by me. Yall just keep hating but 9ers gona keep winning!
@A H nobody cares! Win the Super Bowl. That’s the only thing that’s matters
@Reg Allen what your saying doesn't really make sense if the experts are picking the 9ers as underdogs. If the 9ers started off 2-5 that means they finished regular season 8-2. Didn't the chiefs start off bad then got hot in middle of season to? Chiefs had one game where they got stomped 27-3 vs titans. 9ers were close in they defeats even with bad start. You also have factor injuries they had early in year.. If you don't understand football then you just look at final record n base off that. An expert or anyone who understands football knows it's all about getting hot at the right time at the end of the season. Not like say the cardinals who start 8-0 then tank rest of season.You talk about luck but someone can say chiefs got lucky to vs bills then right? But chiefs not the underdogs even though Bengals beat them in regular season. In the 9ers case they 6-0 vs rams and beat them twice already in regular season and the 1 game a beat down. Check out the last game in LA vs sf it was mostly SF fans lol. Didn't even look like a rams home game. So based on all these factors no it totally doesn't make sense to have 9ers as underdogs by now especially vs Rams team who 9ers own for a while now. Rams also got lucky vs Tampa. A so called expert that sets all this should factor all this.
I rarely agree with Colin but this was spot on
Missed Lazard a couple of times. Deguara? Dropped a sure 1st. Special Teams gave this game away. Was it Rodgers missing the block on Ward on the FG. Or the blocked punt. The 2nd and third receivers could not get separation. D gave Rodgers the ball after the stop. And they could not get first downs, bad play calling? Bad ending for sure. See what happens in off season
@Clayton Sackett Colin Powell ???
@Clayton Sackett he also has really bad takes where he seems to double down even when he’s wrong lol
For somebody who considers himself The Chosen One as a QB, Rodgers sure chokes under a national spotlight. He deserves all the brickbats tossed at him.
He was but his time is getting shorter and shorter, I mean hell he's done enough already. He should just go live life to the fullest now. Which means leaving the NFL.
That's actually a really good analysis by Colin. Aaron Rodgers was playing safe the entire second half, playing not to lose instead of taking chances and playing to win. Scoring only 10 points is totally unacceptable for that offense.
@David H strange that the team that's practicing in this conditions couldn't handle it
@Shay Pathare none of those teams can afford him, salary cap exists, that's why Aaron can't have a complete team around him cuz he eatin up too much capspace
Try playing football in that weather condition. Freezing cold, windy and started to snow. This is why a lot of people are pushing for all teams to have a dome stadium
Not defending Jimmy but he gets killed for being aggressive and trying to hard and throws stupid ints because of it. I would trade any QB for arod in league. I just think the weather got to both teams and the niners have been tested and punched in the mouth all year. That builds character and teams
@The Great Whale Shark On that day, the Niners special teams was MUCH better than GB, and their defense kept them in the game long enough.
Rodgers has always cared more about himself than his team. It shows on and off the field.
@D Neal Gail Well, he is hitting the Big 4-0 next year. People don't realize how old he is, getting into Brady territory, but without his guts.
@Versus2000 😂 you fucking killed him. Thanks for your service by the way.
@Versus2000 Agreed. Rodgers looks 10 years older than last season. He is done ✅.
@James Peterson Of course he does; success comes easily for selfish people. I also have one working leg due to my time in the Army, so playing football isn't exactly easy for me to do. "Then" is used to show passages of time; "than" is used to show contrast between things.
I was saying it for years on FRclip. People finally realized that Aaron Rodgers plays for stats not Superbowls.
Ohhhhhhh I thought everybody was talking about Aaron Carter. I really need to start watching Sports
This is the typical season ending for the Packers though. They use their arsenal all through the season successfully, then in the play offs they only want to pass to Adams, and lose every year by doing that.
Rodgers is now 11 and 10 in the playoffs, 7 and 10 since his SB 11 years ago. This was a very good take on Aaron, he may not loose the gams but he doesn't 'win' them either.
Brady is 35-10. Who's the better QB?? Lol
God bless 🙏
This made my weekend watching Rodgers lose and I have no horse in this race.
Really??
@john bush GOAT! As in ornery and aloof.
I've been a Green Bay Packers' fan since the 1950s. I completely agree with this assessment of Rogers. A rested team with home field advantage, bad weather, and a stadium filled with Packers' faithful were let-down by a pathetic performance by Rogers. Yes, the special teams have played poorly for the most part, but having to punt from the end zone was caused by the failure of the offense to move the ball. I am hoping that Joe Burrow will be the MVP.
@Zay Fair enough
@Zay I'm with you on your assessment. Perhaps it's just me, but I can't recall from memory the win/loss records of the 1967, 1968, 1996, or 2011 Packers' regular seasons. What I remember is their Super Bowl wins during those years. There is another huge issue that the Packer management will face in 2022. They are in big trouble with the salary cap. Reliable sources have reported that they have $257 million committed to 52 players in 2022. The 2022 NFL salary cap is expected to be $208.2 million. It will be interesting to see how they manage that.
@Roy Hobbs As a packers fan since 95 I can say who cares about jus making it to the playoffs to loose in the wild card,divisional,championship games.. GB fans want Super Bowls the damn 🏆 is named after our Legendary coach.. I would rather go 5-11/4-12 than go 13-3 be the #1 seed to get embarrassed & have all the fans hopes up to always have your worst game of the year in the biggest game of the year.. This team has been overachievers for the last 3yrs it’s embarrassing the way we loose
@Zay I will say, I called him the best regular season QB of all time. But Packers fans should understand without him you won't win eight games. Without him and Devonte you won't win five. Just keep that in mind before you pack him up and put him on a plane!!
Exactly!!!! Rodgers plays nothing like he does in the regular season whenever we loose he either mediocre or trash in those games.. Josh Allen & Mahomes jus showed you how to put your team on your back in the playoffs & not be reason why there team looses
Thank you Deebo!! Seriously, he puts everything he has into every play for the team. Numerous times they show him on the sidelines gasping for air. Keep it up and rest up man!
@John Kon I'm actually rooting for the 9'ers *HARD* next week to make it to the SB because they are a weaker team. And if they beat the Chiefs by some longshot then they truly are destined. But it's a longshot. I'm pretty confident in the Chiefs right after this game and am willing to bet the house on them against your team.
@Blia Yang ... improbable, maybe. They said the same thing about the 2011 Giants too.
* The 49ers are road warriors. The faithful will show up in force, when the play the Rams. Likely, half the stadium will be wearing red.
* That said... my gut is telling me not to bet against the 49ers.
* Like I said, don't be surprised when the win that Trophy, or if you prefer... "possibly win" ... in 3 weeks time 😁👍
Deebo is legit the most exciting and definitely the toughest. But they ways he’s getting beat up I don’t think he’s going to have a long career. He needs to get his money now.
@John Montag only way better
@B Ever what did Jimmy do this is disgusting people act like he went 35 of 40 for 600 yards and 10 touchdowns with no picks this was a team effort stop saying he's a winner you are disgustingly dis crediting the rest of the team that fought their asses off last night to get that win imo Jimmy barely did enough he missed 2 George kittle tds and threw an int yea great job Jimmy let's go sf jimmys
Colin cowherd is absolutely correct on his evaluation of Aaron Rodgers
Bet the giants will love having Aaron at QB, same with Pittsburgh.
I love Aaron's talent, but you can't play QB in safe mode. He's so concerned about not messing up, he fails to 'go for it! I'm sure it'll be someone else's fault!
For once the Packers D weren't to blame for the yearly choke. It was literally everyone else. And the special teams was a known quantity going in so I barely even blame them for giving the Niners all their points.
@Say-Ocean Enjoyer he was too busy holding on to the ball and taking sacks. Besides the improvised play to Jones at the end of the 1st half, Rodgers completely sucked.
@Say-Ocean Enjoyer You are one of those stats dudes falling for Rodgers' greatest trick and illusion, his efficient completion percentage. If you really watched all his throws after the first drive, or just listened to Collin here, you would have come to the realization that Rodgers played like a conservative coward out there. He only took one deep chance at the end to DeVante Adams, he never trusted anybody outside of Adams or Jones. He only threw short passes for easy completions that mostly got nowhere. He never threw a single great pass in that game. Many of his completions were actually pretty low to the ground. Completion percentage is such a misleading stat nowadays because it's easy for QBs to make short, little, safe, outlet passes to RBs. Look at Big Ben last year or this year, his completion percentage was 65%, but do you think he actually was throwing the ball like he used to or actually effectively moving the ball for that offense? Collin nailed it on the head, Rodgers is too aware of his own efficiency, he plays to avoid making mistakes, rather than playing to win the game by taking actual risks. Fraudgers looked like he was content sitting on a seven point lead for the whole game until the 49ers tied it lol.
@André F I guess I'm thinking of the last SF title game when they let Mostert set rushing records. And the Atlanta blow out, and the stupid mistakes against Seattle that let them back in the game. You're right they had been a bright spot early in the Seattle game, but that stupid lay down near midfield with 5 minutes left, and the prayer ball 2 pt pass that Wilson heaved were pretty terrible. Not to mention the bomb that ended the game in OT.
The Packers D have rarely been to blame. You can go through almost every playoff game and blame Rodgers. Even the Seattle game. His defense got him 5 interceptions. Defense last year got him 3 interceptions.
@responsible jerk Another thing I don’t get is why they over relied on the running game even when AJ Dillon got injured, Rodgers didn’t have his best game but he still had a solid completion rating, why did he only throw 29 times? (for reference, Brady threw 54 times yesterday despite having a worse performance)
49’ers defense played well but Colin you hit the nail on the head in regards to Rodgers
@Innis Mor ^^look up
@Innis Mor you really thought you did something with that huh
ARodg .... now 0 for 4 against the 49ers in play-off games.
I guess maybe he's not "immunized" against the SanFranFlu, like he is "immunized" against COVID.
Spot on take! That's what was in mind aswell watching the game. As a gb fan it made. Me sick watching it. It looked to me like stat padding and fear instead of trying to win...
As a Bears fan I was happy to see them lose. But looking at the playoff numbers and "what ifs" I feel for you guys. He can't get past one team and just underperforms otherwise. Now if he got to face the Bears all the time in the playoffs then he'd be undefeated 🤣
On the Packers last possession when Rodgers threw the prayer bomb to double covered Adam's there was a guy a few yards open to the inside - on a linebacker, 25 yards shorter throw and a wide open field to run after the catch.
@shinobu yes
@shinobu Yes, I remember that play
@Joe OByrnes was that the one where he scrambled to the right and got chased down?
“on a linebacker” is not a good matchup when you’re talking about the 49ers defense. We have three legit LBs
Roger's looked old when Bosa ankle tackled him. He doesn't have the burst
I'm a packer fan this was just painful to watch Aaron had a lot of chances to throw the ball and he didn't it was just what the hell
@James Hall you sound like a couch coach. Pointing out the obvious isn't a problem
@jrad410 You named a couple plays. we have to judge the whole game
@James Hall are you suggesting receivers weren’t open cuz that clearly wasn’t the case. Hell if he hits Jones in stride that’s a TD. What about when he had Lazard wide open on a cross?
@David DeMaria Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha
@James Hall lol he can't touch Mahomes. Even Burrow is better. You know why? Because those dudes are WINNERS. Aaron is just not a winner when it counts. He's a super accurate regular season QB. That's it
Spot on about second and third options. A lot of teams are 1-2 receiving combos. But the teams that are still in the playoffs for the most part also have backs that can catch also, which is creating a 3 or 4 option for QBs also.
Huge credit to 49ers' special team and their defense!
@Raven.Bloodrot
Here's some pathetic numbers that makes your point:
"After a special teams gaffe led to a 49ers touchdown to tie the game. Rodgers had a chance to regain momentum but instead went just four yards in seven plays with a punt."
@Tom Collins
"Rodgers' passer rating was 91.9, but his QBR finished at 19.3, the lowest of his career by a good margin. After scoring 30 or more points in six of the final seven games, the Packers managed only one touchdown and one field goal. “You score 10 points, you're not going to win many of those games,” Rodgers said.14 hours ago."
Say it with me....19.3!!!
@Tom Collins
I'll repeat:
He set up his horrible special teams for failure....
Figure out the passer rating without the Jones 75 yard catch and run....
@John Peters Rodgers had a 91 passer rating for the game. Not his usual all-star performance, but not bad, either. No, Rodgers wasn't to blame for this loss. Obviously, it was the special teams that failed multiple times.
@Tom Collins
Dude....3 and out deep in your own end.
Any yardage and that blocked punt/TD may not have happened.
Fantastic 75 yard catch and run at the end of the 1/2.....then NOTHING!!
Yes, a FG should be automatic....but so should your red zone offense.
50 yards in the 2nd 1/2.....Idiotic bomb on 3rd down again deep in your own end.
Rodgers choked....
The Packers had the #1 seed last year, Home Field advantage everything in their favor and yet 1st year with the Bucs, QB Tom Brady came in with the Buccaneers and sat them down...Former Patriots QB. Now all the pieces set the same as last year and here comes the 49ers and Jimmy G ( Former Patriots QB) and they set them down....at home. Guess Rogers and the Pack do not do so well against former Patriots QB's........there's always next year.!!!!
Sorry ol kenny but it dont really seem like a next year with rodgers
@Nick Peterson ^^look up
@Nick Peterson Guess you didnt read...Here comes Jimmy G & the 49ers. Have to give credit to Jimmy G....The running back didnt call the plays or throw the passes.
hmmm, i don't think we should be implying any credit goes to jimmy G :p
Peyton made SBs when he was the 1st seed and the times he didn't.. he played the 2000s Pats/Ravens/Steelers who won multiple titles. Rodgers has lost to the likes of Carson Palmer, the Failcons, and Smelly G.
@vernon pro idk when he was made number 2? Rodgers is good and a hof but has not made the same impact manning did or even accomplish nearly as much and I’m not a Peyton manning fan in the least 😂
@That N2o fbody063 damn right the media just made him #2 Manning way better and he changed the game
jimmy g?
@dpistons149 bc Peyton is better and everyone should know that
@All Things Ashley Wow, that makes two of us...
I do enjoy Colin's take on things, they are thoughtful, and it challenged my love of Aaron Rodgers stats. I was never a Favre fan, cause his great comebacks were because he got his teams into trouble by doing stupid things. Aaron Rodgers has the entire skill set and doesn't make stupid mistakes. However, maybe that awareness creates too conservative a style of play that doesn't win championships. Very interesting. Colin though is showing signs of age, he did not pick Joe Burrow as MVP, he chose Aaron Rodgers. frclip.com/video/T6BYnQ765ns/vidéo.html
As a Vikings fan this is how games always go. When they lead it's all protect, delay, play smart, even in second half. It can be infuriating to play against. Everyone praises Rogers, but they were never scary to any team in the nfc north.
I’m not a packers fan, but have the Vikings ever been a playoff threat?
I was watching the ball go through the uprights thinking, "wow, this worked out perfect for Mr. Cowherd." Keep up the great content!

I really enjoy this version of Colin, he can really be himself and not have to put a facade on like he does with Fox.
@Spy Dirty ^^look up
@john bush No that's the difference between being at work and owning your own business. You don't talk the same way at work that you do with your boys do you?
Why isn't there a number by the dislike button?
@john bush I agree with you... when you are being paid... you have to represent whatever network and carry yourself with a certain level of decorum
Great point on Rodgers but as a Washington fan I would absolutely love a coach that never had a losing season. We and a lot of other teams in the seller barely have winning seasons. So to say never having a losing season isn’t an accomplishment for Tomlin is absolutely ridiculous
Aaron Rodgers is an all time great REGULAR season QB.....end of story!
His celebration in the Bears endzone this season really says all you need to know about him as a person.
It's almost as if they are playing a competitive game of football :/
What about "....yes, I'm immunized....?" ?
@Jordan Bolm Chicago 2005 - 2015...
He wasn't wrong 😂
Yea he talks shit against a bum team and then gets owned again in the playoffs.
Love Colin's little almost imperceptible smile at the beginning as he says "One of the more *memorable* losses of Aaron Rodgers' career"
“Hate to see him go, he’s such a likeable guy” 😂
Dripping with sarcasm.
@L.L. Craft perception is big for smooth brained people. The real don’t need people to pander and be cute
😆😆😆😆😆😆
That's why even though Brees is the same as in an early SB win and 12 years later never went back. But he's a decent guy and always takes responsibility and doesn't bad mouth people or act like he's better than anyone. Perception is a powerful thing
I think it's a mistake when teams try to out 49er the 49ers. It's a mistake to play their type of game because they are built for the low scoring ugly game and most teams aren't. I'm a Rams fan and wish McVay would use a more pass heavy attack and put some points on the board and make the Niners play from behind and not worry so much about turnovers. After all it mkes no difference if you lose by one point or two touchdowns so you might as well play to your strengths.
@A H yes you're right about that as far as the 49ers go when they're playing the Rams the Rams are never safe
@Paul Gaither They couldn't run the ball effectively that's why they stopped. Zeke had 12 carries for 31 yards so under 3 yards a carry. You get away from running when it's that bad lol. 9ers defense underrated. They shutdown the run. Good pass rush. They don't have great corners but they have solid corners who can shutdown tight ends and number 2 or number 3 wide receivers so most teams just have their number 1 wide out have a big game but that's not enough.
If your a rams fan then didn't you see the rams up like 20-3 vs the 49ers a few weeks ago? Then the 9ers started throwing the ball to come back and win it. If that's not coming from behind to win for 9ers I don't know what is lol.
@Bartholomew Smutz - Those teams did, and got smacked around because of it. Go watch the post game coverage of the Dallas game and all people were talking about, other than the Dak error to end it, was how the Cowboys hardly ran the ball.
The 49ers defense is not some legendary super defense, but they have gotten a lot better vs the inside run, they flow to the edge well, their secondary is mostly healthy and taking away a team's #1 weapon and the pass rush is brutal.
@Paul Gaither obviously the 49er defense is a factor. my point is if you are a better passing team than running team that's what you should stick with whether it works or not.
💯 people never understood why I kept saying this about him and wanted him to be gone after last season. This was it for me, I’m tired of it already. Everything you said is true. So bad.
They need to tell LaFleur to trade him.
He doesn't want to be in G.B. anyway.
An unexpected post-🎄 🎁 for Colon, as some part of the Packers once again let Aaron Rodgers down when it counted the most.
Colin is absolutely right aaron rodgers threw the ball to the same guy over & over. He was right about jimmy g also
Would be nice if you gave the Niners front 7 a little more credit....they were relentless with the 4 man pass rush sacking Rodgers 5 times and I don't know how many hurries. Yes, Aaron chokes in playoff games, but the Niners defense was on a mission, just like in Dallas and prevailed.
@Spenser compared to Aaron Rodgers yes, for all his limitations the last half of the season he won games in Cincy, LA, and he's now been the qb in two victories in the playoff. Down the stretch yesterday he was clearly more clutch than Rodgers.
@dizzug did you just call jimmy g clutch? 😂
@Spenser the Great Aaron Rodgers had the ball with 4 minutes left and a tie score and the niners defense went 3 and out. then Aaron went to the bench and watch how a QB not as talented but way more clutch drove the 49 down the field to win on a last second field goal.
@dizzug I give the special teams most of the credit for the 49ers win. The blocked field goal at the end of the first half and the blocked punt were the two biggest plays of the game
@Ragusauce__ cut it out without they blocked punt. Jimmy g and the offense wasn’t doing nuthin. Sf. Besr case scenario was 2 fgs the way y’all was playing. I’m not a gb fan
*Best NFL playoffs weekend ever!*
As Rogers says . .we can now all just " Relax" and watch other teams play...i didn't know as a Green Bay life long fan that's what we wanted
@Ray Fabris ^^look up
@Ray Fabriscongratulations to your 49ers sir! Given how poorly Garapollo played, I am really surprised you guys won. It is a team game though and you have a really good team over there now.
49er fan here I get what you're saying this was one game for the NFL films to show down the road
I'm still shocked and I've been watching football since 72'
Rod-gers
I remember as a kid early 2000s hearing a Bill Parcells quote that when a QB becomes uncoachable his career is over there will be no SBs when a QB becomes uncoachable and let's be honest Rodgers has been uncoachable for at least a decade. Ironic how he blamed McCarthy but he hasn't done s*** since he left either McCarthy got him to the NFC championship a bunch of times too.
Yeah, I think you are right about Rodgers playing it safe....I do not watch the Packers very often, so I tend not to pay attention to Rodgers; your analysis is right on
I agree, sometimes he never looked to the other side of the field or to receivers shorted down the field.
Joe Burrow got sacked nine times today and found a way to win against the 1 seed on the road as a 2nd year player. Aaron Rodgers had two bad special teams plays today and lost at home to a 6 seed as a veteran. End of story. You have to find a way to win against Jimmy G’s California-based niners in freezing weather at home. Period.
@Chase nickles Aaron Jones didn’t even have more rushing yards then the back up, u don’t even make sense.. In one breath your basically saying Rodgers,Adams & Jones make the team but it was proven ystrdy those 3 were not enough to score more than 10 pts 😂😂😂 & none of the 3 even scored.. And a defense don’t have nothing to do with a QB winning an mvp especially when our defensive rankings were worst last yr. Bruh just shut up you make no damn sense
You said it. Burrow is a winner. Mahomes is a winner. Aaron is not
@Zay only person who contributed to rodgers mvp the last 2 years is davante Adam's ,aaron jones and the packers defense ...........greenbay can get rid of llazard ,mvs right now.and they would be out the nfl, packing bags at your nearest Walmart.......matter of fact take any quarterback in the nfl including pat mahomes and put them on this same exact packers team and they dont even make it to the playoffs let alone win mvp......
@Chase nickles yea all those players who contributed to Rodgers being the MVP last yr & Prolly this yr he got 38 TD passes & I believe Adams has 10 so who TF has the other 28???? Oh all those players u jus named.. And Lazard has 8 TDs on the yr which I believe is Top 10.. So please be quiet that excuse was bullshit
Love ya Colin ! Been listening to you for a long time .good work brother 👍
I've always put the least blame on A-Rod for Green Bay's failures. I'm gonna go re-watch some of his Playoff games over the last 7-8 years and try to see what I've been missing.
Big fan Colin keep up the good work 💪👍✌🙏
Our defense was so goated and great let’s goooo 49erssss❤️🙌🏾🤞🏾💛💪🏾🙏🏾❤️💛
Let's go 49ers! The entire game holding my breath. In the end the W!
@Taylor Allen ^^look up
49ers vs Chiefs rematch with the same results!
@Froggy 75 I wouldn’t say our special teams is special, but they were last night. And that’s all that matters.
@Bill L. You have to breath. It is essential to life.
Does anybody else feel like their heart is about to give out? This team is killing me... but I'm dying with a smile on my face!
49ers baby!!! NFC Championship here we come! :)
I honestly feel that Rodgers may be nearing the end of his time with the Packers.
Absolutely perfect atmosphere for the Packers...they had the cold..they had the snow they had the fans and even coming off a bye . but they didn't have their quarterback......kinda feel bad for the fans that froze during the game.......kinda..
What a satisfying loss!! Come on Joe!!
This is just amazing as a Bears fan. Now I can watch the playoffs with ease. Oh btw packers fans, Stafford is STILL in the playoffs lollll!
@Bruce B hibernating is fun when the packers lose lol
Like all bears fans. They hibernate long before the bears in Alaska do.
Say what you want about this game...but one thing is for sure, the 49'er's know who they are, and play to what they are...and more often than not, it works.
@landon morel They play in a division where 3 teams make the playoffs, first of all, second, record means shit at this stage in the season, both 1 seeds and 13 -4 teams are out and watching from the couch next week.
@landon morel I mean it worked enough to be In the NFC Championship 😆. CLEARLY more wins in the regular season don't mean shit.
Great game by both teams in -15 weather we just wanted it more
Landon because that's all we needed to get in! Who cares what the record was we all 0-0 in the playoffs now aren't we? You a troll huh? Watch a few games then comment. You made no sense
@landon morel they had a lot of injuries.
This is the first time I've ever heard anyone in the media criticize Rodgers. I've thought all this since his second year as a starter plus he's jerk pain in the a butt.
@Aaron Foster former players aren’t current players. And who cares about the media? We all need to avoid the idiot box and get real. It’s the only way to really be fair about the world around us
@The Element he's had several former teammates and coaches say that or something to that effect and once he's gone I'd bet more will say it. He's a great player I'm just saying he isn't the perfect player the media has always pretended he was.
@Aaron Foster you don’t know that. You’re not in the locker room
@The Element his teammates do they aren't going to give it their all for him.
Go niners!!! Superbowl bound!!!!
Yes, that's what I noticed too. The argument that he's better than Brady was fueled by his ego assuming his talent is enough to overtake Brady. Rather than studying from Brady or appreciating Brady at least I sense a kinda prejudice. The reason he gets his ass handed to him when it matters is because he's not a leader, he wants the credit when it's all good but he lacks the courage to put it on the line and demand the team follow him to glory. if he was tom Brady this don't happen twice. Sorry. so let's quit with the excuses and that Rodgers is this great talent. He's a good quarterback. but he's not elite.
You can put that on his tombstone. If I were Packers, it's time to upgrade. Rodgers is just a tease that's going to get everything fired around him cause he's clever like that.dont fall for it. yank him!!
Great point...he is not a leader
That is a horrible take, Rodgers was bad yesterday but "he's not elite?" Dude is still one of the best qbs in the game right now. Also Tom is an anomaly not the standard, most guys not named Tom Brady won't sniff 2-3 rings, its improbable that any one will ever reach Tom's level with 7 rings. Rodgers hasn't gotten that second superbowl and that is a failure, for almost a decade he was all Green Bay had when he played bad, Green Bay lost, can't say the same for Brady especially in his early superbowl runs, but Rodgers is still an elite first ballot hall of famer. Packer fans should be thankful, with out this dude they're a bottom feeder team for the last decade or so.
Sincerely a Bears fan.
I’ve been a packer fan for as long as I can remember and my lord it’s painful
There is ZERO excuses for Rodgers. 10 points, not even 100 yards in the 2nd half. Unnacaptble for someone that people say should be a back to back MVP.
@John Peters TEE HIGGANS was the 33 pick in the nfl Draft.. Michael Pittman Junior the 34th pick in the Draft .. Both PICKED AFTER LOVE … I picked up the Packers too Loose this game because of the cold & I thought Davante Adams was going to get doubled … and MVS was out I didn’t believe
@OG THRIFT
Name one impact WR or TE picked before Jordan love....
And yes, I think love sucks.
And you're nuts if you think players will sign for less than they have to.
Losing Tonyan certainly hurt, but the supporting WR's aren't horrible contrary to your belief.
And WTF do you mean "they lose every game"??
Rodgers choked this game, he's won 39 regular season games the last 3 years....and a few playoff games, it's obvious he's not comfortable in big games for whatever reason.
The Packers were favored in this game by people much smarter than you....obviously they thought Rodgers had the weapons.
Packers defeated ! Rogers will retire....he will be 40 years old...in about 20 months.....Rogers cannot and Never will be as good as TB12 ~ And remember, Jimmy G. was trained by who ?? Thats right....TB12 !!
@John Peters I do understand salary cap And That Pakers Never PICK skill position players RB or TE in the first round… they wasted the first round pick on Jordan Love.. i’m sure many wide receivers would want to come to Green Bay to play for cheap to win a chip..idk Green Bay has the worst WR & TE Group in the whole entire playoffs.. that’s a fact… Aaron Rodgers choked Lots of games always trying to protect his QBR and his INT rate .. He never takes chances and that’s his downfall.. if Adams is not open he just throws out of bounds 🤣
@OG THRIFT
You obviously don't understand salary cap...the Packers will be 50 million $$ over the cap next year.
Rodgers choked this game....just like last year when he had 3 shots goal to go and whined about not going for it.
He chokes In the playoffs....it should be obvious by now.
DaVante Adams deserves better!!! 🥺 look at the great things he's done for his team over the last two seasons
And they Still end up not getting it done 🤦🏾♂️
If the loss to the Bucs didn’t leave a mark, neither will this loss. I truly feel AR doesn’t care about the Packers. Just look at his performance in this game.
Not only that after the game it feels like it’s nothing for him he’ll be at a nice beach with celebrity gf and having a good time you really cant tell he doesn’t care
Profound analysis. Captures in a few minutes who Rodgers is and who has been and what he will be remembered by.
Hope this analysis makes it to the other big sports (NFL) shows and podcasts.
Nailed it.
Colin is in pain almost grieving AR what could have been 😔
Shoulda seen Rob Lowe's pregame mini film, all about how Rodgers can't get it done in the playoffs
I think the 49ers defense deserves a ton of credit. What a performance
One of the biggest playoff losses in NFL history. A #1 seed lost to a wildcard underdog.
@Fame 43 I don't know if it's the worst loss but it's up there. Wild card dogs have only won 7 divisional round games in the last 23 years. Only 2nd win in last 9 years.
@Frank Castle I was talking about prior to last night's game. No one should be surprised by Aaron Rodgers losing to the 49ers in the playoffs since he has lost 3 times to them going in to that game
@koolaid20100 lmao. It’s playoff football. This is what playoff football looks like. The 49ers QB wasn’t that great either. But the TEAM found a way to win. SB victories are a TEAM statistic.
GBs TEAM failed today.
@strawnobi lmao hes the league mvp with the best team in the nfl...he only put up 10 pts...forget what his special teams did. their mistakes allowed the 49ers to tie the game....but he should have put up enough games to win that regardless.
@Steve Dem 7 this game was lost on special teams. A FG block and punt block in the same game! That never happens. It’s just a convenient ploy to blame Rodgers. This was a team loss. Not a Rodgers only loss. So you please STOP!!
Aaron Rodgers: A LEGENDARY UNDERACHIEVER!
The last two seasons, Aaron just looked disinterested in playing in the playoffs. There was no passion and it showed on the game. I’d rather deal with a few losing seasons than have another with him.
The pain!!! Why do I put my heart on the line for the Packers every year. I need a break.
@Ryan 2985 I’ll give you that. Sorry man. Love you coach though 🤷
@Ryan 2985 Yea that's bad. But atleast you're not a Jets fan
Packers special teams give 49ers 10 points.
Cowherd: “and i blame Aaron…”
It’s a vibe to not have to wait until Monday to get these hot takes
It's insane. I was seeing some content seconds after the game ended.
“It’s a vibe…” the “groovy” of 2022!🤣
It's a vibe to see Aaron Rodgers knocked out of the playoffs early again.
When was the last that you've seen a QB that was sacked 9 times put up this stat line, 28/37 348 0td 1int. Remarkable
I have been watching football for several decades and I’m trying to hard to remember team entering a third quarter with negative total yards of offense and Rogers lost them hahahah
Packer fans, take a deep breath...emotions are high right now and the disappointment is no doubt very deep. Like Coward who is a guy who sometimes lets his emotions define his opinions, he makes ARod the target in a game where the special teams lost this game. That Niner D is legit. It is very tough to throw vs defenses that can pressure with 4 and drop 7 in coverage. If That block punt doesn’t happen then Coward is praising ARod rn for his smart safe play in a tough weather game. Coward is a media dude who is happy he gets to now take easy shots at ARod and make him the target. Qbs like ARod need to carry their teams indeed, but this game was lost on 2 plays that cost major points in a low point game. Be careful when u listen to voices like Coward who likes to sound smart and well thought out when it really is an emotional reaction by him as well
i see what you're saying but rodgers deserves as much blame as our ST
Agree. Rodgers had 3 seconds to get balls out. Niners in that game had the best D we've faced all year. Would of playing next week if it wasn't for special teams.
Let the Rodgers to Indy rumors start.... Perfect fit.
Ps - Congrats to 49ers nation. They're a very likeable team.
Agree about Burrow. This guy is so aggressive and has a short term memory. Keeps throwing the ball doqn the field despute being on his Bck after most plays. So exciting to watch.
@Angelo Trejo He’s in his second year but I would love to see it as well
I’m a huge Rams fan, however if the Rams don’t make it to the super bowl, I’d love to see Joe take them there as a rookie.
Great perspective. And true. Good job!
Awesome Colin..been following you since the day at the other company......well said sir....I'm a new subscriber
49’ers defense played well but Colin you hit the nail on the head in regards to Rodgers
“Such a likable guy”. - Good one Collin!
I hadn’t heard about The Volume and I thought this was gonna be clickbait, good on Colin for getting that quick reaction out there
Thank God no more the stupid clickbait
With so many sports commentators….Colin seems to be the most neutral.
Just heard of this also
Actually
As a packer fan, I’ve had it with Aaron too
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOW THEY CHOKE EVERY YEAR.... HAHAHA 😀🤣😂😆 BUH BYE!!!
Brilliant analysis about the risks of playing it safe.
Colin Rodgers will have DK and Lockett and Russell will have Adams next season.
Also GB sends SEA a 1st round pick age difference between both Quarterbacks.
Every year, Aaron Roger's fan boys blamed on D and coaches. This year, they have everything they need and still choked
@Alexander Ritter I've seen teams win when a QB has the same type of game Rodgers had the Packers can't, shit Jimmy had the same game with an interception and the 49rs won,
he has set his standard so high that when he's below that everyone says he's terrible,
It's cool tho, I really hope he goes somewhere else and the Packers go 1-16 next year.
@mario Jimenez he was nowhere close to being perfect. He scored only 10 points. Didnt he only throw for 55 yards in the second half? What are you talking about? Close to perfect would be putting up more than 30 points
We are so busy blaming Rodgers and not giving the 49ers their due.
The Packers Special Teams was an embarrassment. Hats off to the 49ers.
Said earlier this year that the special teams will cost them the super bowl this year. But Aaron only getting 10 points isn’t acceptable.
He wanted Cobb back 1 target, Lazard 1 target. Even when they doubled Adams he still targeted or took a sack. Go to Pittsburg win a couple there.
Love the “such a likable guy” quote. Dripping with sarcasm
I have admit you’re spot on about Rodgers.
6:17 😂 Man, seems like so many people are piling on. They had some hilarious tweets about Rodgers and the Packers. Their situation is tough next season. Contracts/lack of cash. Sucks. 🐻 ⬇️
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
49rs defense was lights out!
Jimmy G did just enough and showed mettle; his receivers were dropping catchable football throws.
I love Aaron's talent, but you can't play QB in safe mode. He's so concerned about not messing up, he fails to 'go for it! I'm sure it'll be someone else's fault!
Yes. Aaron played poorly. My only question would be was Seattle’s season squarely on Russ? Of course not Colin.
Rodgers has plenty of “weapons” and a very good backfield and O-line. Excuses, excuses, excuses, you make the big bucks so step up.
I’m really happy with the GB result…
1:21 Exactly. “Trying not to lose” There’s a difference playing to not lose and playing to win.
Great regular season QB but an absolute choker when it comes to playoff football
It’s was the Niners defense and special teams that kept us in the game. They played as a team and not as individuals, that’s how they got the win in Green Bay! Let’s go Niners! On to the NFC championship!
This is the happiest I’ve seen Cowherd in a very long time. The hate for Rodgers runs deep.
He picked the packers to win tho
@GhostsAmongUs not at all but ok
He's happy because he's not alone, and he knows it.
Even Rodgers knows the size of his non-loving crowd is huge....
Yeah, I gotta say this year put a dent in Rodgers's aura and cemented his reputation forever as a toxic diva. His trade value just took a massive hit.
When the NFL decided that offsides would end plays immediately instead of granting the offense a free play, Rodgers CHANGED his playing style. Before that, he used lots of hard counts to create free plays and gambled big, in which case an incomplete pass would be ignored and a big completion would be "WOW, genius". After that, well, you see what just happened.
Bro, how's that on a rod... when they choose to run and get stopped many times... as a niners fan, we were lucky ass hell to win that game
Aaron played well the entire team played well. Football happened. The 49ers did not win the game by any stretch of the imagination. The Packers did not even lose the game. Football happened.
