That is not a grunt and it's cheating if the sound last after the ball crosses the net. WTA will not take action it's kind of embarressing and hard to watch. I have to turn the volume off or just not watch. This getting out of control in women's tennis. just sayin'
USTA rules:
37. Grunting. A player should avoid grunting and making other loud noises. Grunting and other loud
noises may bother not only opponents but also players on adjacent courts. In an extreme case,
an opponent or a player on an adjacent court may seek the assistance of an official. Grunting
and the making of loud noises that affect the outcome of a point are hindrances. Only an official
may rule that these actions are hindrances and order that a let be played or a loss of point,
depending on whether an official had previously warned the offending player.

Roland Garros never uploads mens doubles highlights unless the french win. It's utterly ridiculous and such a shame since Krawietz and Mies wrote history. Had Martin/Chardy won, we would have a highlight video. Salty frenchmen can't lose, even the official organizer is blatantly favoring their athletes.

ITF needs to do something to promote doubles. The court is not really empty - much better than the singles semifinals - but it was all at the cheaper sections, which was expected. Doubles sometimes are very exciting and ITF needs to promote such teamwork values.

Big crowd, you wonder why doubles is still played? Yet, oddly, it is a superior game to singles.

again, RG policy of keeping all lower seats empty for the big sponsors makes it look like tennis is dying. Why can't seat fillers come and sit in those seats during women's doubles final or even until the high rollers show up 1/2 through the men's final? Incredibly dumb policy. Mladenovic is a top French talent and certainly young tennis players or fans without big $$$ would love to watch this doubles final. At Wimbledon and US Open this never happens.

Absolutely agree. So stupid...they prefer to make it look totaly empty and like no one in France is caring when it's not the case. Really sad.
Things are simple in France, Roland Garros is OUT OF PRICE, and if you don't have the money, you don't get to see the game

@Geoffrey Pelletier what are you talking about? I think original comment is referring to Mladenovic. Everything you said backs up Barty, but she is not the point of discussion here. I only brought her up because I'm trying to say that if Mladenovic beat Barty in singles just a few weeks ago and Barty just won the French Open, that shows that Mladenovic is a Grand Slam contender in singles too.
