I don't have a problem with the 80-MPH speedometer. If you are doing 90, I can attest that you should be watching the road, brother....

You do a good job. I was looking at purchasing a collector car from this era. Iroc or Grand National, Mercedes 560, etc.... What would you recommend?

doug didn't do a lot of homework on this one. Speedo for instance...wasn't that a federal mandate to max at 85?

Fisher body was the gm plant in Columbus OH. They made those parts and my dad worked there for 33 years. Eventually it was Fisher guide then a bunch of other names but originally a gm plant.

I had a buddy that had one back then. It was a beast, and yes he smoked Vetts regularly. G.M definitely made the Buick guys lie about the numbers.

Back in the day,,,,these cars were quick. They were very easy to tune,,,and adding a set of sticky tires made them great drag racing machines.Bone stock my buddies ran 13.10 back in 1987 with a set of tires and maybe a cold air intake. Flying for that time period!

I used to race GN's on the service drive while cruisin gratiot back in the day. I had a monte ss with a zz3 crate engine dropped in, TCI 700r4 and AC baby. I used to edge out GN's everytime. I built my car to beat mustangs. These late 80s early 90s GT's pissed me off. My Monte was cousins with the Grand National. Beautiful car.

Ah, 1980s GM...yep, I remember it well. All of my extended family members worked for them and I remember all the things like the seatbelt buckles saying GM on them. I remember everyone in the family only bought GM cars. Anyway, this car looks like it would’ve awesome to have during that era for sure

Ok first, the trans doesn't limit anything, it's a great trans. You act like you're surprised because it does have power. Finally, it's not a sleeper at all. If you know anything about cars, then you would know it's not a sleeper. Educate yourself more than a 2017 Camaro. Bye

Litre was spelt like that as a nod to the origins of this engine. The 3.8/3800 is the v6 version of the Buick v8 which was sold to rover in the 60s and repurchased in the 70s this thing is literally the v6 version of the rover v8

    • Ivan Arrache
      Ivan Arrache Il y a 8 jours

You can find that V6 in Jeep/AMC as GM sold the rights to them, and buy it them again. Yes, Rover use that engine design util 2004. But never put a supercharger or turbo in them, boring.
